In the signal planning process, ERTMS speed profiles based on track nature needs to be complemented with additional constraints. The base profile resolving allowed speed, often includes several changes which can difficult for train driver follow. One approach deal this problem is filter profile, reducing number of and giving more time attention. This paper presents effects a filtering principle, possible usage during increase, energy consumption, braking behavior, running time, workload. an Electrical Multiple Unit simulator, 40 drivers tested three different 19 km railway line. It concluded that differences in are small, these small time-gains implies high consumption cost, tend drive close indication curve beginning phase. Further, rated task workload low all conditions.
